Springfield, MO – July 27, 2022 – Abacus CPAs, LLC is eager to announce Taylor Graves as the award recipient for the 2022 Abacus Values Award of Client Service Orientation. Graves joined the firm in January 2016 as a Customer Service Representative and was promoted to Coordinator in the Transportation Department.

Graves began at the Prime office in Springfield and soon started preparing tax returns and quarterly estimated taxes. Graves continues to develop relationships with his clients and gained an even deeper appreciation for the truck drivers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“These drivers were still working. They didn’t get to go home,” he said. “I think knowing that aspect of sacrifice and then putting it into perspective for every client I talk to brings me joy. I’m doing what little part I can do for the drivers because of what they already do not only for Abacus, but Missouri and the United States. We wouldn’t be operational without them.”

The Abacus Value Award for Client Service Orientation recognizes an employee who effectively communicates, leads with innovation, has a sense of urgency and produces quality work.

“I try to treat every client the same. They need to be treated with respect and dignity and with commitment to excellence,” Graves said. “It’s also stepping up into a leadership role that if, for example, someone had a bad client interaction, I can call the client and go over the situation with them to make sure the client feels understood and heard and come up with a mutual beneficial solution.”

The Abacus Values Awards were created in 2020 to recognize individuals who fully exemplify Abacus Values in how they live, work and build relationships with clients and coworkers. Each recipient demonstrated exceptional understanding and achievement in client support and professional relationships.
