[Springfield, MO – December 11, 2020] – Abacus CPAs, LLC is proud to announce that Sabrena Shipley has been promoted to Senior Analyst. Shipley, who joined the firm in January 2018 as a member of the Tax Department, has been an essential leader in tax returns, planning and consulting; bookkeeping services, and supporting the transportation department.
Sabrena Shipley, who earned her Bachelors of Accounting in 2018 and her Masters of Accounting in 2019 both from Missouri State University, began her Abacus journey as an intern and later became a full-time employee. Shipley works on tax returns for the traditional tax department, and, in addition to reviewing transportation tax returns, monitors quarterly estimates, and supports Abacus client niches.
Her responsibilities have grown to include ownership of the 1099 process, increased client communication and interaction, and opportunities to provide feedback and advice to coworkers. Shipley was recognized in May 2020 for her work with the Abacus Value Award for Ownership, one of the highest honors the firm bestows.
