[Springfield, MO – May 17, 2021] – Abacus CPAs, LLC is proud to announce that Annette Wright has been awarded the Abacus Values Award for Ownership.  Wright, who joined the firm in October 2017 as an Associate, now serves as a Senior Associate for Accounts Receivable – Transportation and takes care of the Transportation Department accounts receivable, personalizing the experience for thousands of clients with her considerate follow-up, payment processing, and answering questions – for clients and employees.

Annette Wright, who has worked the last 30 years in a mixture of CPA firms, industry and education, has really enjoyed her accounting-focused experience. Throughout her time at Abacus, Wright has been known for reliability, responsibility and dedication; often arriving before others and leaving after others – a characteristic trait of her ownership mentality.

“I want to pursue excellence.” Says Wright, “I always want what I produce to be a good product, so I own it – all of it.”

The Abacus Value Award for Ownership recognizes an employee who has exemplary pride in their work, a desire to succeed and loyalty.  Wright, who has been commended for her concentration and her impact on her team and the firm, was a natural choice for the award this year because of her genuine, supportive focus on helping others as a valuable resource.

“I know how to pat myself on the back, but I also know how to kick myself at the same time.” Says Wright, “I think it’s helped me become more confident speaking in groups and helped me fine-tune everything to help provide our clients with a great Abacus experience. Plus, it’s helped keep me grounded.”

The Abacus Values Awards were created in 2020 to recognize individuals who fully exemplify Abacus Values in how they live, work and build relationships with clients and coworkers. Each recipient demonstrated exceptional understanding and achievement in client support and professional relationships.

“We’re proud to recognize outstanding employees who understand, live and embrace our values and know that they embody the best attributes of the firm and our focus on clients and culture,” said John Helms, Partner of Abacus CPAs, LLC, “Our firm continues to grow because of our dedicated, talented employees and I’m proud that we can recognize deserving talent in this capacity.”
