[Springfield, MO – November 25, 2019] – Abacus CPAs, LLC is proud to announce that Cristian Rath has been honored with the Inaugural Abacus Communication Award, “Abe’s Golden Microphone,” which is the highest award that Abacus bestows. Rath, who joined the firm in October 2015, is a distinctive leader with confidence in communication, the ability to start needed conversations, and a bold presence in new environments.
Cristian has grown significantly since he started at Abacus CPAs and has learned through the years that “People Deserve Better.” Abacus CPAs trusts and empowers employees, at every level, with the ability to take charge of their career by encouraging innovation and leadership from everyone. And this focus helped Rath to inspire confidence in clients and employees from day one.
“I was honored – and completely shocked – to win the “Abe’s Golden Microphone” Communication Award.” Said Rath, “I’m still striving to improve my communication and this is a humbling experience. I will work to do this award justice and keep learning and growing so I can remain a thoughtful, inspiring leader in the firm and beyond.”
Today, Rath serves as a communication leader in the firm, by energizing and inspiring people. He regularly compliments and reinvigorates others – clients and coworkers, realizing that others depend on him. He often makes choices and tackles projects – because he wants to make this job, this company, and the world better for everyone.

Rath also is a committed family man and community volunteer. He and his wife, Braidi, have been married since 2015 and have two small boys, Theodor and Thalen. Cristian is also involved as a community volunteer serving on the board for Champion Athletes of the Ozarks, a member of Rotaract of Springfield, and the treasurer of My Final Chapter.
